FAQs

Why did we invent this product?

  • We invented this product because we loved how wine tasted right after it was aerated. The first couple of sips were delicious/very smooth and soon after the wine would start to lose some of its flavor. We wanted every sip to taste as good as if it was just aerated.

Why do I need this product?

  • No need to buy a wine aerator (which could cost $10-$100+) and use it every time you want to have a glass of wine and it only aerates into your glass. We combined a wine aerator with a wine glass. We believe the Best Sip will offer a new experience that wine drinkers will love.

Does Best Sip work on all wines?

  • Best sip works on all wines but primarily on red wines. More specifically young red wines (recently bottled within 5 years). Young red wines are heavy with tannins and using Best Sip will soften the tannins to make the wine smoother to drink. Some white wines could benefit from aeration. We will leave it up to you to tell us which of your favorite wines (red or white) taste using the Best Sip.

Does aerating wine actually make the wine taste better?

  • 100%. We tested Best Sip where there is a 300% increase in oxygenation which will make tannins taste much smoother. Here’s the science. There are two chemical reactions happening which are oxidation and evaporation. Oxidation is the chemical reaction between certain molecules in the wine and oxygen from the air. Evaporation is the transition from a liquid state to a vapor state. Aerating wine will help accelerate the less favorable sulfites and ethanol compounds of wine through evaporation. When these two important processes occur it can improve the quality of the wine.

I don’t taste the difference?

  • The best way to compare the difference in taste is to use Best Sip and a regular wine glass. It’s not recommended you keep rotating the Best Sip when comparing the aerating side to the non-aerating side because every time you drink from the aerating side the wine is being aerated.
